One of my favourite "teen" movies, probably because it was made in the 90's, and basically all (teen) rom com's that have been done recently are just a lot of repetition of already made films, from for example the 90's. It's just sad how over the years, it gets more and more obvious that a lot of rom com script-writers are running out of ideas. It's not like this film isn't cheesy, it really is sometimes, it's just not total crap like a lot of today's productions.

And I just need to state how awesome the character Kat, played by Julia Stiles, is. In the first scene she's playing "Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett (my favourite female rock icon, love her) in her car, and in the movie she's also reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (one of my favourite books). Gotta love it.

One of my favourite bands is british indie (?) rock band Muse. They have an unique approach to melody, lyrics and instruments, mixing everything from symphonic classical music to punk hard rock, and there is truly no other band to compare them with. However, they are ingenious.
(And one of the best live acts I have seen.)

Ok, so I've noticed my updates haven't been that frequent lately. This phenomenon has however two reasons:
a) I went to Paris for some days of touristing/shopping last week.
b) Came home insanely sick and have barely had the power to move until like... today.

But please forgive me, to make it up to you I'll do a post about some of my second-hand bargains from the trip (which involves leather, studs, fringes, shoulder pads... basically all the awesome stuff). I think I've probably made one of the best vintage purchases of my life.

Just another of those UYI masterpieces that don't get enough credit. I'm a huge GN'R fan, as you probably can tell, but you know sometimes when you listen to some of your favourite songs too much you get tired of them, no matter how good they are. Not this one though. I've heard it... countless times, still just as awesome. Maybe that just proves how good the music is.
